Spread cream cheese and pear chutney on flour tortillas for a delicious quesadilla.
Heat them under the broiler on low, or warm on the stovetop. You can microwave them for 20 seconds over a wet paper towel if you're really hardcore, but be sure to have the broiler warm for step two.
Spread cream cheese over the entire surface of the tortilla and spoon on the fruit chutney. You might also try cherry or apple pie filling. How full you want them is up to you, but make sure that you can roll the tortilla up. "Quesadilla" suggests a triangle shape, but my experiments have shown me that rolled is better.
Sprinkle powdered sugar on top. Adding cinnamon or brown sugar might be good for some fillings.
Place under the broiler for about five minutes. You don't want the filling to bubble out or the tortilla to burn, but you do want some crispy caramelization on top. I found that they taste best just before you think they're overcooked. If you want, you can broil for three minutes and then turn off the heat and close the oven door to keep them warm.
